Dan Hays paintings reflect ‘An interest in the immateriality of digital imagery and the screen, combined with painting’s traditional focus on the paradox of representing light in coloured substance’. They address the issue of the nature of the digital surface, interrogating ‘found’ images that are mediated through digital technology. Highly recommended.
